What works for me is commitment to keeping a regular schedule. Personally, I take my night cocktail at 9pm every night. All electronics are no longer used after this time. They can be distracting and will keep you awake longer and disrupt your sleep. I have an app on my phone that reminds me what meds to take and when so that is also kept on a regular schedule. During the week, I'm forced to keep a regular schedule just because of work, but I make myself keep the same schedule even over the weekend do and holidays to not throw myself off.
It really makes a difference for my mood and energy when this is all in sync. When I stay awake later or stay on my phone and/or tablet longer at night, I'm exhausted the next day.
