I looked at that review; to me it does not hint at how powerful the writing of the authors of A General Theory of Love is. (Some Amazon reviewers did not like their style, though.)

From one reader review of the book:

"Warning: The General Theory of Love contains highly innovative ideas that are elegantly stated. It has been found in some cases that reading this book carefully may cause greater understanding of the world we live in."

I also do not think the book is perfect. I had some bones to pick with it. Still I think it is an unusually significant contribution.
