I got a similar prescription from my Primary Care doc the other day. I've been taking walks with my hubby around the block and he encouraged me to increase to 3 times around the block. It feels like too much with my pain and depression. Plus, my husband just isn't up to it sometimes, and I cannot go alone (long story). But I'm determined to reach this goal and my husband is totally on board. We both need to PUSH ourselves hard to make this happen, but I'm sure we will.

My dad always said "you lay down with dogs, you come up with fleas". Meaning, we tend to acclimate too well to our surroundings. Do you know any Gym Rats who might be able to help or go with you to the gym? The idea of joining a class and gaining some friends with similar interests (getting fitter/stronger) could be seriously beneficial.

Wishing you the best. I know how daunting this can seem (unless you're hypo and motivated to save the world, one stair-stepper at a time) if 15 minutes is too much at first, start with 5. That is what I've done in the past when building endurance. Celebrate your success.
