Speaking of non-secular holidays, tomorrow is Walpurgisnacht, which is celebrated in several countries in northern Europe and and especially in my home town. Especially among university students. They have already started partying and skipping classes - I'm not blaming them, but I think it was a bit foolish of the teachers who scheduled me to have tuition with several groups of students today. Not very many of them booked an appointment and I've had a few cancellations (to give these students credit they are the conscientious kind and I don't think they would just not show up, so I'm counting on the remaining groups to be here.)
