I like to take walks. Just doing something mental usually doesn't help me. I have to discharge the stress physically somehow. Just going for a half hour walk usually helps. I usually talk to myself as I'm walking -- I talk it through with myself, sometimes with anger or frustration. By the time I get home, I'm feeling somewhat better.
Then I like to read a book that is relevant. I've been through so much self-help, I've got books on just about everything, lol. Or maybe the book isn't relevant to what I'm going through at all, but it just makes me feel better.
Oh, and my dog. Hanging out with my dog always helps me feel better. God bless her.
