Most jeans tend to be a little to long for me. I'm only 5'4, and most of the time, most jeans end up being about 2-3 inches to long. Also, I have a weird body type. I have a big gut, kind of flat butt, sort of big hips and thighs, and chunky calves too.

I have finally managed to find a good pair of stretchy jeans that fit me fairly well at a place called Stein Mart. They have a website, and the prices are reasonable. I got a Seven for all Mankind pair of jeans there that stretch for about $40.

Nordstrom Rack also has a large selection of low cost designer jeans in all kinds of cuts. I was able to find a decent boot cut jean that wasn't made with stretchy material in a big size (16), ugh that wasn't ugly or matronly looking in a brand called KUT I think.

Also, JAG jeans and NYDJ (not your daughters jeans are good stretchy jeans too). As for jean sizes, they're so weird. I vary between a 12-14 in them usually. Finding the right pair is hard to do. You have to try on a ton of different styles and brands before you can find a decent looking pair that flatters your body. This is why I prefer to wear stretchy pants and dresses.
