For starters fill out the FAFSA. It is free to do and the information will be sent to the college of your choosing. Then the college will get in touch with you about the awards like grants or loans.

Also, check into scholarships offered through the college. If you plan on starting in fall I would fill out the scholarship application soon.

When you visit a college see an academic advisor and they should be able to answer questions and give you ideas. Maybe talk to someone in the financial aid department as well.
