I too did think of our system as computer like, but our system is more complicated then a computer is.
It's like a program (Other) living life would freeze, then a secondary back up program will initiate. Sometimes the original program reboots and may resume control or run concurrently in the background...and so on and so on with as many back up programs there are needed to keep functioning. Kinda Matrix like! Lol

To each with their own I guess! I've always said that different people have different systems and we function how we have to, even if sometimes it's not the perfect way to. We cannot live without having one person to guide and control us, and we all hate chaos so when something chaotic happens like what is happening with Scar/D. we panic, especially if Evee is not sure about things herself, which sometimes is scary.
