Do you have a jack's there? i know they now give the frontline over the counter...at least they do for cats now.

I would give him a *cool* bath straight away. Also, they could be congregating there if it is a collar or another application that's just a repellent.

He could be having an allergic reaction to either the stuff used, or to the bites. My little yorkie was allergic to flea bites and we had to get him steroids by the vet a couple of times.

the good thing about using frontline is...it helps to get rid of fleas in house and yard as well because when they jump on animal, bite, they die. it's a good took in control of environment as well.
