Yup, agree. My t says that healing/improvement starts with awareness. When you start being aware of what's going on, then you can change some things around. Changing things in your life could mean anything: changing your responses, changing your life style, your choices, your priorities. If you just go through the motion not even realizing what you are doing, then nothing will ever change.
Heck changes could mean simple things: if you don't want to end up with men who drink then stop picking up men in bars etc if you don't want to have trashy friends then stop hanging out in trashy crowds. Sometimes it's not that you have to change but choices that you make
