I know in the UK it is a very very specialized area which = most mental health care professionals knowing diddly squat in a worthwhile capacity. As such the support can be erratic and confused. Also = few diagnostic clinicians to spot the dx in the first place if it's not picked up on in the early years... and for those of us who were born in the 70s (80s) and before, we pretty much slipped through the net as it was barely known about.
