What is BPD? Is that BiPolar Disorder or Borderline Personality Disorder?

I had a counselor tell me years ago I was Borderline, and then a psychiatrist tell me yssterday I am Bipolar II, but they both seem very similar. Too similar for me to decide if I agree on either diagnosis or not...
