Hello Okay123: Well... quite honestly I don't know the answers to your questions. I think your doctor is really the person who is in the best position to advise you with regard to this. There certainly are people who just sweat a lot. It's a physiological condition. But then, also, hormonal activity in your body at your age certainly sounds plausible too. And it is also true that everyone perspires more when they're nervous or anxious than they do when they're calm. So what you're experiencing could be a combination of any or all of these factors I would suppose.

As far as how you "fight" it... well... I don't know... My personal opinion is that you don't. My perspective is that the worst thing one can do is to "fight" anxiety. What I feel is important is simply to accept that one has it & try to work within it. Perhaps, if you have access to a counselor or therapist you might explore, with that person, what it is that is going on with you. But trying to ignore anxiety, or stuff it back down, is a prescription for even more difficulty, in my opinion. As far as raising your hand in class goes... sure... if you feel reasonably comfortable doing so... go ahead & be more vocal in class. That's certainly a good thing! But if you find that it is unduly stressing you out, then I would not try to force it. Here again... I would try to get with a counselor or therapist, or even a trusted teacher or other person, someone who can help you to learn to be more comfortable in the various types of social situations you encounter in your day-to-day life, as you've described.

It's certainly possible that this is just a temporary circumstance in your young life. It may simply pass on its own as time goes by. So, from that perspective, I would suggest you not become too concerned if you can avoid it. However, if you find that this is something that just seems to be going on-&-on, and you just can't let it go, then for sure seek out some professional help for yourself. Oh... & keep posting here on PC too... it can help! I wish you well.
