First of all forgive me because I think I posted this already a long time ago but I'm curious again.

How do certain meds like APs make you gain? Especially Zyprexa and the horror I heard about that weight gain. So do the meds just make you eat more or do they make you gain regardless? Like what if I were to be on Zyprexa but dieted? Would i still gain? I ask because I'm thinking of asking my pdoc about Zyprexa as a PRN for when I can't sleep. But having a long history of eating disorders, I'm terrified.

Seroquel is another culprit too. However I've never gained noticeable weight from it because of my eating disorder. I was doing good on my eating last month and was put back on seroquel and gained 4lbs. That triggered my disorder again and I lost the weight. I do want to work on my eating and get better but the weight gain from meds scare me. However if I could get by with eating healthy then I'll do that.

Any stories of experience or tips would really help!
