Many of the create your own realty gurus suggest that when in that lucid state it is good to think and visualize your dreams and FEEL what it is like to "be" whatever it is you are desiring.
Lol, sorry I veered of there! Look up lucid dreaming. It's cool stuff and even cooler that you stumbled upon it organically as a kid!!! Powerful stuff!

That's the description I was trying to give it but couldn't remember the exact term I was looking for. I'm more aware of it when falling asleep than waking up but recently, as I was waking, I became aware that there seemed to be two parts to what was happening. It was like on the left side of my dream screen were people and faces I've known or seen, and on the right were places or situations I've thought about/experienced. The two sides were weaving in thier own directions, at times intersecting, putting people in unusual places and situations. Usually these are very pleasant experiences for me, but, on rare occasions, disturbing, and sometimes, even enlightening. I think a person could train themselves to do this, like a form of self hypnosis with positive results. Maybe be cautious if working with traumatic substance.
