Hmm. I'm not sure I'd use the term "stupid"* to describe the general. Misinformed, for sure! And perhaps ignorant. But I believe most people are aware of the condition of our world and they choose to bury their heads in the sand.

*Yeah, I'd use that term but shh, don't tell anyone!
