As a side note, this is a prime reason I don't feel I should be in charge of anything serious. I make mistakes in the regular, regardless of how closely I pay attention. I could see myself making this kind of mistake. I did something similar and scary before. It should have been easily caught by our shipping department but it wasn't and it created a big to-do around the office. I feel bad for you most of all, but I also feel bad for your doctor. They probably don't mean to be so pathetic.

I know he violated HIPPA, but I don't think I'd take legal action. I'd basically be complaining about disclosing information that is freely available. (I mean, I do have a valid case, but I don't think it's worth the trouble.)

But yeah, I make mistakes too, so I know where you're coming from. My attention to detail sucks!

I was really upset at first, but then I realized that the person who got my email is probably like "lol WTF is this sh**?" I doubt they'd post my diagnoses on the internet, and they probably don't even care.

Now they know I'm crazy and to stay away from me.

I'm going to get a new pdoc, though. He's done A LOT of stupid crap, and this is the straw that broke the camel's back.
