Once again
I am faced with the decision

Panic
rises within me
piercing my heart
with her fingers

My mind
stands entrapped
in a maze of boggling images
and feelings
that come
from a shadow world

Slowly
I rock myself
hoping to shake loose
the cobwebs surrounding
my lifeless soul

Inside
I am lost
my trail of breadcrumbs
eaten by the ravens
the decision
beckoning to be made
