When I was young I think I may have had something akin to this problem. But as I've gotten older I've "evolved" into a complete atheist... plus I don't have anything resembling mania anymore.

I do still, on occasion, get these sudden flights of spiritual fantasy that wash over me unexpectedly where I imagine myself turning into some kind of spiritual grand master. However, I know these flights of fancy are just silliness & they don't last long.
