I completely cut back on my social media. I deleted everything except Facebook and even then I cut it back to only friends I actually know personally and care about. This forum is about as close to getting wrapped up in social media as I have.

I say delete for a while. You can always reinstall.

I also like the advice to try good old fashioned talking on the phone.
I've cut back on social media too. No more interactions on facebook for me. I know how to be in touch with the people that matters to me, i don't need facebook to keep in touch with them. Now I get to live my life the way I always wanted to and stop trying to acquire things that I actually don't want. Social media and Internet can be addicting because you get to express yourself and you don't have to be so PC. I love exploring unpopular opinions and being different, so I always get drawn to causes or philosophies that represented that. I feel like i definitely got my fix in that regard so I'm done with it now...I played around too much, now it's time to focus on more important stuff. That's personally how I feel right now.
