My pdoc has been refusing to give me medication for my ADHD, which has been a big problem for me. (He thinks I don't need it, even though I very clearly have a diagnosis for ADHD.) The good news is, my new GP has graciously agreed to prescribe me ADHD medication while I search for a new pdoc.

Does anyone here have experience with ADHD medication? Or, do they know any BP people who take ADHD medication? I don't think my GP is too knowledgeable about comorbid BP and ADHD, which is why I want to do some research before I have my appointment with my GP.

I'm afraid of stimulants causing hypo/mania, so I'm a bit hesitant about asking for a stimulant, but do non-stimulants cause hypo/mania too? If they both cause hypo/mania, then I'll just research all the drugs and see which ones are reasonable.
