I have no idea what you may be going through as an adopted child, but I am sorry that your life has been so rough from the start. The main thing I did growing up was to make an inner circle of friends with people that cared for my well-being, which included neighbors. Anyone that shows support and love can be your family.

There is no excuse for abuse and negligence to any soul, and it breaks my heart knowing children continue to suffer just for the fact that they exist. As someone who survived an abusive, neglectful family, I just want to give you a hug.
