Believe me, nobody wants to abuse Abilify. I can't take it...it gives me brain zaps (all antipsychotics do) and knocks me out wth headaches. They dont do anything much because I'm not psychotic. I know my inner voices are the Others.
I started getting treated for bipolar and am taking meds to stop the mood swings. To get the physical mind under control is a plus for recovering from m.i.
I don't see why they don't just start you on a.p.'s? They prescribed me and said check back in in a month! Lol
