All I know is what has worked for me, and it was by no means easy to do or a quick fix, it took years to get to this point ... I quit buying certain items one at a time and no longer allowed them in my home ... Soda's were the first to go, then chips, then candies, etc. ... It took several years to achieve this as I've struggled with compulsive overeating for over 45 years ... I still treat myself a time or two a week so I don't feel totally deprived, but as far as buying any of it in bulk at the grocery store and bringing it home, that's long gone and a no go!

Of course, I think both of us know that it's not what we're eating
that's the real issue, it's what's eating us; and, as we work on these
issues and allow ourselves to heal, the disordered eating will kinda take
care of itself along the way!
