My dad... always thought he knew exactly what I (or anyone else) thought about anything, and it would go something like this:
"I know you did it, (and/or WHY) because that's exactly what I would have done!! (and/or WHY)
With my dad, it's usually a classic case of projection.

And YES, it is almost always infuriating. But also sometimes, comical. >^..^<
