I've been where you're at, for the same reasons. I hadn't seen my father for 14 years. It was difficult.

Please just know your expectations, their capabilities...I guess know what you're looking for with their limited capabilities...if you can.

I can't go back "home" because there were many. I do plan to go back to Camp LeJeune to face some things... For all teh horrible that was there, it was also beautiful in ways...the hiding places the coming of age and awarenesses. It was such an important time in my life in many ways. I understand.
