Who do you see? A doctor that prescribes or someone seperate?
The reason I ask is that for a few years now I've been seeing psychiatrists that DONT do therapy and a therapist on the side. My therapist is now changing his hours in a way that doesn't work for me. I also recently started seeing a new pdoc. The pdoc does talk therapy and has asked me in the past if I'm happy with the quality of therapy I'm currently getting. In theory, I could switch.
In some ways I think it could be beneficial because he could maybe more accurately prescribe, having a better understanding of me as a person. The actual whole picture. On the other hand I'm terrified that he will constantly change my meds or overreact. ( I'm also terrified of leaving my current therapist because I don't trust anyone ever and I do trust him)
