I was brought up partly/mostly by au pairs until the age of about 5, they came and went... Not a big deal, right some were mean, I don't remember much of it..

I couldn't trust the parents with my real self.. (I was "always alone" as the mean t told me..)

I sort of know what you mean, I tend to trust (some) people with mental illness more (sometimes)
