Dear me! I am not an organized person! Best to make a list breaking down the cleaning/ organizing into small attainable tasks. Try to cross one off the list a day...if you don't get thru a whole task hey you still made progress move it to too priority to finish first...next day. As far as your mismatched furnishings... if you have one item that you do like, try to set a theme/ color scene around that piece. If you are crafty go to a fabric store and get some upolstry tacks and mix and match textures, comfort, patterns and colors to your hearts desires...if not... check out Christmas tree shops, job lot, and ikea for inexpensive slip covers, throw pillows, and bedding. For small decorative touches that depends on your style all the above stores and tjmax Marshall's and home goods have good finds check the clearance first

Curtains can either be bought at the same places as slip cover n the like, but thrift stores are also a great place if you don't need too many curtains to find really cheap sometimes unused curtains! Especially if you just want something simple. Weird Bodega like dollar stores always seem to carry a wide selection of curtains as well idk why also thrift stores are great for lamps as well. Happy hunting! And Good Luck!
