My cell phone has been on silent since last night so I did not hear it ring. When I checked it about an hour ago, there were a couple of voicemails, one of them being from T. I seriously thought I was hallucinating when I heard his voice come over the phone. Why was he randomly calling me on a Saturday afternoon?

To recommend a book, of course.

He called and said, "Hi, this is (full name) from (the name of the place where I go to therapy)." As if he didn't put in those identifiers I would have no idea who was calling. He always does that. He said, "I forgot to tell you something yesterday... I wanted to tell you about this book..." and he went on to tell me about this book called "Unquiet Mind," which once he explained it, I realized that I had picked it up in the bookstore months ago and was interested in it, but haven't bought it yet. It is written by a psychiatrist who was diagnosed with bipolar I disorder and credits a lot of her getting well to Lithium. T said, "You know what I think about diagnoses, but in this case I don't think it's an issue and I really think you would get a lot of this book." Then he said I could call back if I wanted to.

And then he told me where I could get the book...."Borders, any good book seller, or Amazon...." he said, as if I have no idea where to buy books. It was sort of cute, I sort of loved it.

Then at the very end of the message he said, "Ok. Thanks." I thought that was very funny because he always sounds a bit awkward on the phone and says things like, "thanks" at the end of a message in which he was the one calling me to recommend something.

My husband and I are going to the mall to go see Halloween and tonight we will go to the bookstore. It is our two year wedding anniversary tomorrow. I think I will call T back, but not yet. Maybe I will read the book first, then call him back after the weekend.

I really love my T.
