Oh Tisha. This makes me smile so hard my face hurts, haha. Mostly cause I've done the same sort of thing ...Only w/me it was mostly accidental. After my husband passed, the whole world was insane and I didn't know where or how to be. My sister and best friend for life Laenie, had died some years earlier, and. It was disorienting. One day at the market someone spoke to me -- it was our (mine & Laenie's) old friend from yrs before, who had moved away and was now back. WHA?!! 2 days later another friend I'd not seen for years just calmly showed up at my front door whilst I was still in my jammies lol. Suddenly all these folk who had known me since way back when, were all around me again...

And I could not pull any "Isolating" bullcrap with them; they knew me too well and Were. Not. Having. Any of it!

The ground beneath my feet seemed a lot more solid all at once.

They gave me my context back; they know who I am....and when I'm with them, I know that too. Ain't it great?
