I'm 49, single, gay. All my friends who're straight and divorced that used dating sites, and are a similar age, gave up and stuck to meeting people through shared interests like sport or music or whatever. Only one of my friends married the guy she met online and I think they were both very lucky. Dating sites can be depressing and a numbers game and it's much more fun to do something you enjoy and be happy in your own skin. And then that itself attracts the right person.
