It sounds like you really want off it, but that you're just going to have to deal with the withdrawals. If you check into a detox, they may be able to give you some meds, to alleviate some of the symptoms, but unfortunately the only way to get through it, is to get through it.

Once you're off I'd talk to your Dr. about getting a script for Naltrexone (Revia). It's an opiate antagonist, and if you take it, it will block the effect of any opiate so that you don't get high. If you take an opiate - you just immediately go into withdrawal, so there's no point in taking the opiate. I used it for a couple of years to help beat an opiate addiction.
