Once you're off I'd talk to your Dr. about getting a script for Naltrexone (Revia). It's an opiate antagonist, and if you take it, it will block the effect of any opiate so that you don't get high. If you take an opiate - you just immediately go into withdrawal, so there's no point in taking the opiate. I used it for a couple of years to help beat an opiate addiction.

Thank you. I've been on naltrexone once in injection form for drinking and again in pill form. It did help me. I had to detox fro drinking in a hospital because I was so bad. I slept through that with a steady IV of ativan. Maybe they can do something like that for me, not sure.
