I had surgery three weeks ago for my upper limb. I haven't been eating or sleeping well due to family turmoil. I saw the surgeon, actually resident who operated for a follow up last week. I told the resident who saw me that I have trouble sleeping and eating since surgery due to family stress. She asked if I have seen family doctor about it and I said no waiting it out. She told me to see your family doctor or to a walk-in clinic to get some sleeping pills. I did get the pills yesterday.

Last night I fainted. I planned on taking the sleeping pill just before this happened. I wasn't feeling sick before it happened but I was feeling really tired, anxious and stressed which I think cause me to faint. I woke up on the floor and probably was out for only few seconds. My limb where I had surgery is now even more painful. I have extra pain and now tingling and burning. I phoned the nurse hotline in our city to ask questions. She suggested if anything increases for the worse to go to the hospital. If not contact the surgeons office tomorrow.

Even though the surgeon secretary seems really nice I'm still anxious to make that phone call. Anxious thoughts go through my head. Is she going to say sorry you can't come in.

What should I say to her? I fainted, fell and now my limb that was operated on feels worse from the fall.Could I please book an appointment for this week?

I feel embarrass this happened. I hope they won't think I'm stupid for my stress , fainting etc.
