I'm just reading about this on my own, but IPSRT is a treatment that can modify/correct biological rhythms, like circadiun rhythm, after they have been disrupted by things like a life event (new job, moving) or sleep disturbance from jet lag or daylight savings time. For people with mood disorders, these disruptions can shift the balance of our internal biological rhythms, and be experienced as irritability, difficulty falling asleep, being less alert, lethargic, depressed. Then we can get stuck in that state instead of being able to shake it off in a few days.
I'm retiring this month, have a new part-time job, looking for a 2nd part-time job, trying to get all the time-is-of-the-essence pension paperwork done, trying to get a sense of what I'm going to do in this next stage of my life, and I've been so lethargic and agitated. So, I asked Google and IPSRT landed in my lap.
I'm going to see if my T will work with me on this therapy, so maybe I'll know how to use this system the way it was designed. But, in the meanwhile, I made my own Excel spreadsheet and set my target times to do daily activities and then have been tracking the times of my actual daily activities.
So far tracking my activities is helping me to re-establish daily routines, making healthier choices, and is helping me with feelings of lethargy, difficulty falling asleep, and being so darn inconsistent with my actions. I hope this explanation is helpful.
