Cholesterol from our diet is only a small part of the reason we have high cholesterol. Most of it is genetic. Doesn't mean we shouldn't try to eat healthier, just don't expect it to get you all the way from 300+ to under 200.

In other news, high cholesterol levels BY THEMSELVES do not predict heart disease. If you have high cholesterol plus other risk factors, it's a problem.

Do you know how much research I had to do to get my GP to agree to no statins? LOL
