Hello Spaceyspace: Well... I don't know if it's normal or not. But... hey... at least she's honest! There are too many of these people who will gladly take your money whether they can do anything for you or not!

I doubt that it is unusual for a neurologist not to communicate. Those folks tend to be extremely busy, plus they tend to think of themselves as being too important to be bothered with such things. At least this has been my experience.
It is unfortunate your NP did not refer you on. But I'm not really surprised by this either. It's amazing to me that this happens but it does... all too often I think. It is possible, I suppose, she simply doesn't know who to refer you to. I apologize for not being more positive about this. But, from my experience, it just seems pretty-much par for the course... I wish you well...
