On the topic of your sister's grandmother, if she is forgetting things and getting confused this could be frightening for her, she may be lashing out rather than angry at you personally. Could you maybe let another trusted family member know about the memory lapses/angry behaviour?
At first when I heard my name it scared me. Then when I realized it was my Grandmother I did feel better. She always tried to make me feel better when I was upset. I do honestly think she knew I was hurt and upset. I also think she did the only thing she could to let me know she was here and that was to say my name.

My sister & her husband know about her Grandmother's mood changes. She lives with them. I am there when neither of them are at home. Monday I heard her lash out at my sister.

On Monday at dinner her Grandmother didn't want anything I made. Everyone else loved what I made.
