Hi Rainne,

I am also adopted and was abused by my adoptive family. I completely empathize with you. Have you read THE PRIMAL WOUND by Nancy Verrier? I highly recommend it as well as her companion book, Coming Home to Self. It is very important to allow yourself to grieve the many losses of adoption. Hugs to you.

I was born/adopted in 1958. Found my birthmother in 1982. She wound up rejecting me again and now, at 86, no longer acknowledges my existence. I have, however, forged a strong relationship with her son, 11 years my junior. He is lovely.

Wishing you peace & good luck,
Kick
