It's not what I myself experience, not exactly, it's not so much public embarrassment for me, but it would be what I mean: it's certainly a fear of rejection, I'd say.

I really hope DBT would work for that. I'm waiting for a new (and first) appointment with a new therapist and we'll see whether I could join a DBT group maybe.

CBT might work. But I'm pretty good at dispelling crazy beliefs (obviously only when not psychotic). It's just impulsivity together with such beliefs which are the biggest problem, but CBT is rather too slow for that. But together with DBT maybe.
