If I could magically control them, say, take meds only when they start to turn ugly and stop them from turning into mania, I would do it in a heartbeat. I'd LOVE to not take meds except when 'necessary.' I wish it were that easy.
So well controlled hypomania (whatever that really is), not bad, mania -bad, because it comes with psychosis for me, bizarre and very scary thoughts, paranoia, etc.

I totally agree with this! If there was a way I could magically control the mania before it got completely out of control and landed me in the hospital then yeah I would go for it!
