No, not as a general rule. It can lead to the "But I was just being honest...." kind of thinking, which is at the root of a lot of bullying. Or to put it another way: It is not
always the listener's fault if they are hurt by what is being said to them.
That's irrelevant to what precaryous was describing of course - she's defending herself from bullying and protecting her boundaries in what seems like a healthy way to me - but as you know I find it hard not to pick generalisations apart
