Day 2:
I took the Vraylar at 5pm. It doesn't hit me like Saphris (sublingual) with quick onset drowsiness. I took Valium and Tylenol PM at 11pm and fell asleep at 12am. In the time between when I took the Vraylar and fell asleep I noticed my energy and mood were a little mellower. I woke up at 8am feeling well rested.

I took 20mg of Prozac today. I have been taking Prozac for about 2 months everyday. To recap: my doc told me to take it every other day when I started the Vraylar.

I don't want to be too analytical but I seem to feel a little less energetic and my mood is not as high as it was yesterday. I'm not sure if it's the Prozac or I'm just less emotionally high from the new med hope. I have seen some controversy on the matter of antidepressants not being helpful to bipolar patients and possibly cause mania. There is also a possibility that quitting the Latuda could cause some side effects but I was told it shouldn't. There are a lot of variables to consider so everything I experience might not be just the Vraylar. I was told I would know for sure how well it's working within a few weeks.

Side effects:
I noticed a little constipation which is rare for me as I am a vegetarian (I know....Saphris..gelatin--I do what I have to) and everything is easy peasy usually. Actually when I first started Prozac I got diarrhea but it slowed. As the Vraylar builds up in my system I'll monitor the constipation.

I am 5'10" 193lbs yesterday. I'm 192lbs today. I have been losing weight lateley because I gained weight on other meds (highest 225lbs). I've been doing a lot of switching meds this last year. I'll report on my weight too because my doc says it doesn't cause weight gain but the manufacturers website says weight gain is a potential side effect (though not as common as others according to other sources.) It's a SGA so it looks like they applied the logic that all SGAs can cause weight gain...according to another source.

BTW, I'm not trying to turn this into a blog...I just want to share my experience and get my five posts in so I can check out chat. I do intend to keep progress up on here though.
