Hi,

We have guardianship of our grandson. He sees a play therapist. He is supposed to start seeing a family counselor with his mom, but she says no one will see them as he sees his own counselor. She said she was told it was unethical for them to see them. She said multiple therapists have told her that.

It seems odd to me, as the boys therapist is a play therapist, and his "safe" place for him to work through things. The play therapist at this time doesn't feel she should be their family therapist due to all the issues the boys have experienced and wants her office to be his "safe" place.

Any suggestions?
