Yeah, it sounds like you're just anxious about taking a new drug. It doesn't sound like Lamictal is causing any anxiety. I sort of figured that was the case since I had a similar experience.

But either way, I can't blame you for feeling anxious, especially since you had a rash in the past and you don't want it to come back again. And Steven-Johnson Syndrome (SJS) is nothing to sneeze at either.

Some kind of anxiolytic will probably be useful for you... but keep taking the Lamictal. Lamictal is a really good drug because it has virtually 0 side effects. The only real side effect is SJS. It does suppress appetite (or at least it does in my case), but I think that's a rare/uncommon side effect.

I can't actually think of any bipolar drug that *causes* anxiety. The anxiety is almost always caused by an irrational fear or by unsureness.
