I can relate to your upset with these people. I have gone through it as well. I suppose therapists are like any other service provider- there are good ones, bad ones and mediocre ones. Sort of like your car mechanic I guess.
One thing you might try is to talk to some friends or co workers who have seen a therapist they felt good about.
I might suggest you interview the next therapist with a page of questions about what sort of therapy they believe in- the last ones I went to don't believe that depression is treated with meds- only talk therapy... ! so, look into the different types of therapy styles.
Remember you are the customer! And they are being paid to help you- .
I wish that I could just do some on-line therapy so I didn't have to go out... but...
Try to not let these negative experiences keep you from getting the help you want- it may take a plethora ( sorry, I like that word)- of therapist before you find the one you fit with. Sort of like it takes several different meds to have the right effect... good luck and I hope I helped a little. I appreciate being able to vent here too!
