I'm new here too, actually. It is confusing at times to differentiate between whether something is a symptom of Bipolar vs. if it is just natural feelings in response to a situation, or a personality trait. One thing I try to remember is that all of us with Bipolar Disorder are not defined by our diagnosis. It may sound cliche, but we are all human beings with valid emotions and feelings like everyone else. It's just that we are faced with certain challenges that some without Bipolar D/O would never really be able to quite understand.
That's why I joined: it's nice to have others know what I'm talking about when describing experiences related to episodes, medication concerns, or just discuss the struggles of everyday life. Anyway, enjoy the forum! I am so far
