Hi, I can really relate to your situation.

I went through a period not long ago were I was very, very anxious 24/7, too. It went on for about 1 1/2 to 2 years.

I was living in a residential community for people with MI then. They gave me Ativan which did nothing but slow my muscle movements down so much it was really scary. Nothing else suggested by my T worked either: exercise, progressive relaxation, deep breathing.

The anxiety was so severe that all I could do was sit in a chair in my apartment at the center and try to calm down. It kept me isolated as I was too anxious to socialize or go on out trips--though I tried to go a few times and wanted to go.

I tried to understand the source of the anxiety, but could never find it. My T was no help in this, either.

The anxiety didn't lessen until I moved out of the residential community and in with my folks. I'm still anxious here, but it's not a 24/7 state of panic like before. It's mostly agoraphobia and other situational anxiety now, and I avoid those situations that cause it. I know that's not good, either, though.
