I wonder if he is still abusing drugs and was in no shape to see your daughter? I am just speculating here. My ex was and is notorious forgetting and mixing up things. It was a pain in a neck and he isn't even a lair of drug abuser, yet it was a pain to make arrangements properly. Heck he almost bought plane tickets for her college graduation for the wrong date!
